Are you a writer or artist who identifies as POC or LGBTQ+? Do you love imagining and creating new worlds of science fiction or fantasy? We invite you to submit for publication your celestial, advanced-technological, fantastical short story, novel excerpt, poetry, or visual art! (To submit a review, please see below.)
We are currently accepting all types of submissions for our Fall 2020 issue until September 1, 2020. To submit, please follow these guidelines:

Short stories, excerpts, and poems must be no longer than 7 single-spaced pages or 4,000 words.

Novel excerpts must be from self-published novels only. We cannot publish excerpts from books on contract with other publishers.

If submitting multiple poems, please include all poems in one document, and include no more than 4 poems.

Short stories, excerpts, and poems must be submitted as .doc or .docx files. We cannot currently accept document files in any other format. Please do not send submissions in the body of the email.

Art must be original creations only. No reproductions or fan art.

Art must be submitted as an image file, preferably as .jpg, .jpeg, or .png. Please do not send submissions in the body of the email.

If sending multiple submissions (with the exception of poetry), please send submissions in separate emails.

We do accept simultaneous submissions. We only ask that you let us know if your work is accepted by another publication first.

In your submission email, please use the subject headline "Spring 20 [Genre (Fantasy or Science Fiction)] Submission, [Type of work (short story, poetry, stage play, etc.)]", and include in the body of your email your name, contact information, a brief bio (3-4 sentences), and a professional-looking headshot if you have one. The bio and headshot will be included in our publication if your submission is accepted. We reserve the right to copy edit your bio as necessary (but we'll let you know beforehand).

Are you a book reviewer who specializes in science fiction or fantasy? We'd love to include you in our next issue!
We are currently accepting reviews for our Fall 2020 issue until September 1, 2020. To submit a book review, please follow these guidelines:

Reviews must be between 0.5 and 1 single-spaced page in length.

Reviews must be on recent (released within 3 months of review date) or upcoming publications.

Reviews can cover new books from major publishers or small publishers, or books that have been self-published (authors: please do not submit a review for your own book). We strongly encourage reviews of books from small independent publishers.

Reviews must be submitted as .doc or .docx files.
